Principles of working with your data
We are Moniel s.r.o.
We operate an e-shop on the website www.moniel.cz.
In order to provide services and sell goods and to operate our website, we process certain personal data.
The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”)
I. Processing of personal data
1. Processing of personal data in case of use of the contact form
If you inquire about our products and services, we will work with your contact details that you provide to us, mainly through the inquiry form. These include: first name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, address, information about the goods you have shown interest in.
For what reason?
We contact you through them for further arrangements regarding our goods and services.
On what legal basis?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiation of a contract or taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
How long will we process personal data?
If we do not establish further cooperation, we will process your data for a maximum of 5 years from our last communication.
2. Processing of personal data in case of purchase
If you make a purchase from us, we will work with the data you provide to us. These are mainly billing details: first name, surname, address, telephone number and information about the goods you have shown interest in.
For what reason?
We need to process personal data in order to fulfil our contract – deliver our goods or services to you. Through the contact details we will also communicate with you regarding the status of your order, possible complaints or your questions.
We will further process personal data in order to fulfil our obligations arising from the law (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, possibly for handling complaints and others).
On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – fulfilment of our legal obligation.
How long will we process personal data?
For the duration of our service and then for 5 years from the last provision of such service or delivery of goods.
3. Newsletters (commercial communications)
If you are a purchasing customer and you did not refuse this during the purchase, we will use your e-mail address to send you our news.
On what legal basis?
This is allowed by Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, provided that you did not refuse this during the purchase.
How long will we process personal data?
5 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe from the mailing at any time via e-mail or contact us at: zakaznici@moniel.cz.
II. Who will have access to the data?
Your data will remain with us. Nevertheless, some companies or other persons work for us who may access the data because they help us operate our e-shop. These are:
- operator of the e-shop platform Shoptet (company Shoptet a.s., with registered office at Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00, Prague 6, Company ID 289 35 675, the company is registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, File 25 395)
- companies participating in payment processing (GOPAY s.r.o.)
- provider of e-mailing services (Leadhub s.r.o.)
Your personal data may also be disclosed to the following entities:
We process personal data within the European Union and the United States of America.
III. What else you should know
In our company, we have appointed a Data Protection Officer.
In our company, decision-making based on automated processing or profiling takes place.

IV. Use of cookies

V. Your rights in connection with the processing of personal data
The GDPR grants you, among other things, the right to contact us and request information about which of your personal data we process, request access to this data and have it updated or corrected, or request restriction of processing. You may request a copy of the processed personal data, request deletion of personal data in certain situations, and in certain cases you have the right to data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
If you believe that we are not handling the data correctly, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority or seek judicial remedy.
